WHAT WILL I LEARN?
On this 2-day workshop you will learn how to create two exclusive headpieces with Italian mesh together with other embellishments.
Italian mesh is a flexible metallic lace ribbon used by millinery, costume, jewellery designers and crafters. It can be stretched to create ruffles, waves, and different shapes with wire so as to hold its shape.
You will learn how to form and shape the mesh ribbon using different techniques; make leaves and flowers whereby you can create floral compositions, wire crystals and different embellishments, and make beautiful designs assembled onto a vine or headband with silk thread.
On the first day of the course you will learn how to make a headpiece like the ones in the first two photographs and on the second day you will learn how to make a more complex hair vine like the one in the third photograph.
BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL TAKE HOME TWO UNIQUE
