Centre stage – BBC Money for Nothing

The new series of BBC’s Money for Nothing starts next week, and it’s a celebrity series. Watch daily from  Monday at 4.30pm on BBC1 as presenters Sarah Moore and Jay Blades dig around the homes of famous to find unloved items that are transformed by clever craftspeople and sold for charity.

Our busy, Greater Manchester Reloved workshop will soon be centre stage, watch us in week 2 as we transform some unloved stools that once belonged to comedian Jon Culshaw. Our first appearance is due to air on Wednesday, 13th September at 4.30pm on BBC One.

More than just a TV show

As well as featuring in the celebrity season, Gypsy and I will also be gracing your screens for series four, transforming the weird, wonderful and unwanted items found at recycling centres across the UK.

Exciting as this is, there’s a real message behind the show. A message that really forms part of the Reloved ethos. Recycling and reusing.

Did you know that we send around 1,600,000 tonnes of bulky waste to landfill in the UK each year? It is estimated that 50% of this is good furniture. It’s facts like this that make us determined to continue the work that we do; transforming unloved and tired vintage chairs and sofas to make them fit for a new generation of homes.

All items created for the show will be available to buy in our store.  So keep a look out for more.
