Ercol Jubilee sofa. A wonderful way to kick off the year!
We were tasked with modernising a mid-century Jubilee sofa and two chairs by one of my favorite furniture designers, Ercol. What a great start to the new year!
We love Ercol, because design has always been at its heart. Whether that’s for comfort, function, or for beauty. Ercol pieces are timeless, combining form with function. Added to this you can really make an Ercol piece your own, with a spot of bespoke upholstering. And, as long as you take care of it, it will give you pleasure for a lifetime.
We really enjoyed getting our hands on these latest pieces to give them a bespoke new and updated feel.
What we did to the Jubilee sofa and chairs
To update the Jubilee sofa and chairs we upholstered the seat and back cushions in a beautiful light grey soft wool fabric.
The Reloved Ercol sofa and chairs are now looking very happy back in their home in Hale, Cheshire.
Next month we have a very cool GPlan sofa from the GPlan saddle range that was launched in 1969 and was enormously successful for GPlan – although not many still around today!
