Our 'Bring Your Own Upholstery Project' course is back!

We're so excited to be welcoming you back to the studio for our 'Bring Your Own Upholstery Project' course this month!

Since starting the course, it's been wonderful to see so many talented students bring all sorts of items back to life here at Reloved Works.

We've been looking back at some of our favourite 'Bring Your Own' transformations, and thought we'd share just a few with you, showing some of the skills you will learn on the course with Simion's expertise and assistance on hand.

Our student Emily picked up this brilliant example of a vintage Benchair from Insitu, a wonderful treasure trove of a reclamation shop here in Manchester.

She chose a stunning fabric by Charlotte Beevor, and even painted the arms with a pop of pink, making the print sing! This fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester printed by Fashion Formula, making for a brilliant upcycling story.

The chair was completed just in time for lockdown, and has become the perfect desk chair for working from home!

Jonathan brought along what we believe is the cutest little chair we've ever had in the Reloved studio. The perfect size for his beloved pug Pheobe!

This little chair originally belonged to Jonathan's grandfather, and he wanted to bring it back to life to pass down to his young nephew.

The chosen fabric was from the gorgeous Bute 'Alchemy' range. It looked fantastic finished off with some contrasting chunky yellow buttons, all ready for its new home.

Gill was after a little chair for the corner of her newly decorated bedroom, and found this characterful boudoir chair on facebook market place - a bargain at just £20.00!

There was serious debate in the studio about the tassled embellishment, "to tassle or not to tassle!", we even had a poll over on Instagram!

Gill decided that she wanted the chair to remain inkeeping with the original design, so tassles it was.

Here she is beginning to sew them on to the various panels of her pattern using Simion's industrial sewing machine.

Gill lovingly sanded back the legs to the original wood, and upholstered the chair with a beautiful powdery pink wool from Warwick Fabrics 'Amatheon' range.

The finished chair was affectionately named 'The French Fancy' and everyone fell in love with how sweet it turned out.

Did you know that our cheeky ottomini and the Reloved ottoman can be purchased from us to work on as your chosen project?

These three brilliant students did just that and we love how different and personal they all turned out.

Our Ottoman and Ottomini are the perfect projects for beginners, teaching you all the basics of upholstery. If you're interested in completing one, just get in touch.

It's always lovely receiving feedback from our fantastic students, and here's what they're saying about the course:
