Parker Knoll Statesman revived with new upholstery

From the workshop this week is a sumptuous piece of upholstery on a Parker Knoll Statesman.

This is a rotating, reclining vintage classic that was in need of modernisation. We restored the solid Aframosa (hard wood) base and upholstered in recycled wool fabric from Kirkby Design‘s Leaf range.

About the fabric

A robust cloth, that’s soft and tactile, this range of fabric is both eco-friendly and very much on-trend. Textiles haves been made from yarns rescued from Italy’s fashion industry. The collection includes three semi plains in a contemporary colour palette. Choose from a huge range of colours including crisp pastels.

The Parker Knoll Statesman chair is seeing something of a revival. First launched in 1960, it remained in production for 30 years, before falling out of favour. Revived, but with limited availability, by a major department store (John Lewis), definitely upped the chair’s credibility. Reloved Upholstery is now the leading company for the Parker Knoll Statesman (model no.1028) and you can choose your fabric or leather for the Reloved make-over.

If you have  Parker Knoll Statesman languishing in the back room, why not give it the ultimate upholstery makeover at a fraction of the cost of buying new. Contact us for a quote.
