Are you ready to take your interiors up cycling to the NEXT LEVEL? Join revered commercial furniture artist, Sarah at RelovedMCR, for a day of creativity and relaxation at her new De-stressed & Gilty workshop at the fabulous Pear Mill Vintage Emporium in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
Learn the art of distressed painting and gilding techniques on a variety of surfaces, such as picture frames, side tables and ornaments.
Sarah will work with you to prep, paint and age your very own vintage home accessory… which you can take home at the end of the day.
Suitable for enthusiastic, hands-on beginners and/or those of you who are already keen up-cyclers, workshop attendees will learn about the products and methods I use to create “faded glamour”!
Using painting and crackle glazing techniques, as well as a variety of gilding applications including gold leaf and metallic waxes, this is the chance to create the one-off, antiqued finishes she loves to employ in her own home and commissions.
The day is also about relaxion and fun! Sarah started glamcycling furniture as a hobby to de-stress and unwind, which is why she calls it her “upcyclatherapy.”
Hosted at the wonderful, warm and inviting Reloved Works studio at Pear Mill Vintage Emporium… truly a vintage shopaholic’s dream destination! Groups are small – up to six maximum to ensure my guests get plenty of one-to-one assistance and time for chats!
All paints and materials supplied.
Please note, Sarah provides items to work on during the day, but those of you who want to bring along your own piece along, please do so! Just send her a snap of what you want to bring, and she’ll confirm if it’s a suitable project for the day. Items which are suitable include:
- Small vintage side tables
- Ornate / carved picture frames or mirrors
- Large vases or lamp bases
- Decorative serving trays, ceramic ware
